We work directly with your Head of Programming, Human Resources, Event Committee, In-House Wellness Teams, and Women’s Networking Groups to bring intentional movement and meditation to your hard working teams. Our goal is to offer calm, stillness, reflection, peace, and consciousness to your work space.
When you offer your team the time to slow down, their wellbeing is enhanced in a multitude of ways. You will begin to notice stress reduction, improved focus and concentration, as well as increased flexibility and strength to name a few. These benefits will directly lead to higher employee morale, productivity, and retention almost immediately.
Duration and Frequency
Sessions are typically scheduled for 30-60 minutes, however we offer up to 90 minutes of Corporate Yoga. The most common frequency is weekly, but we do also have Monthly as well as Quarterly Corporate Clients as well. Ultimately, it comes down to what works best for your team, your schedule, and your budget.
Equipment Needed
Employees may need Yoga Mats, Blocks, Straps, or Blankets during our Session. Companies can either provide these items, encourage employees to bring their own, or rent what they need from Yoga Moksha.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a typical session look like?
A typical Corporate Yoga Session is 45 minutes, generally before the workday begins or at lunch time. The session begins with a moment to center themselves and connect with breathwork. Moving into gentle stretching postures to prepare the body before moving into the yoga sequence. Generally, the class is tailored to each person’s need by offering what is considered “MultiLevel” or “All Level”. This keeps current Yoga Practitioners engaged and challenged, while offering inclusivity to the brand new student as well. We end class with a final resting pose, typically on the back. Students are welcome to take this time to meditate instead of rest.
Where can the classes be held?
There are several options for where to hold your Corporate Yoga Sessions.
IN PERSON AT YOGA MOKSHA: You and your team can come to our beautiful, homey-feeling studio for your sessions. There is no additional fee for utilizing the studio space and it may even inspire your team to continue experiencing the benefits of yoga by taking other classes with us! We are located at 195 East Main Street in Huntington.
IN PERSON AT YOUR OFFICE: The easiest, and most common option, is for your Corporate Yoga Sessions to be held in the office. Typically, we utilize a conference room or area where furniture can easily be moved to the side. The location of the classes should be a space where there can be quiet and calm in the area during the time of the session; In the center of a busy area is not ideal. Many Corporate Yoga students also appreciate a form of privacy in the room they are in, where other colleagues and coworkers won’t be able to watch them practice.
VIRTUALLY, THROUGH AN ONLINE PLATFORM: Typically when this is offered, the Yoga Teacher comes to the studio to broadcast the class from your platform. This option works great when there are satellite offices around the country, or even the world. Virtually is also a lovely option when your team members are hybrid in office/work from home. We can also offer this as a Hybrid Yoga Option where some staff is in the office and others are joining us virtually.
We are also able to offer your Corporate Yoga Session completely Virtual, where the Yoga Teacher guides your staff through class on Zoom while the teacher instructs from our Studio.
Do you need to have prior experience of Yoga?
Not in the slightest! And guess what else- you don’t even have to be able to touch your toes!! That’s one of the biggest objections we hear, and I’m here to let you know- anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can practice yoga. We can begin our sessions together in chairs to teach your staff some calming breathing techniques and absolutely game-changing stretches and postures available right at their desk to target neck, shoulders, and even eyesight. Or, we can offer a more traditional class on the mats. Our instructors are trained to teach to all levels for all classes, and in Yoga going back to the basics is always a much appreciated class from even the most seasoned yoga practitioner!
Is Corporate Yoga only available to Office-Type of Businesses?
My mother was a school teacher and retired as an Elementary School Principal; My father owned and operated an Autobody Shop and still helps out there now that he’s sold the business. While they both had their own challenges, I know how the Mental Exhaustion effected my mom, and how the Physical Exhaustion effected my dad.
I worked in a corporate office for 7 years before going fulltime with my Yoga endeavors, and before that I worked in Sports and Live Entertainment Productions for 5 years. Talk about high-stress environment, I know how these professions effected my overall wellbeing.
Everyone, in every industry, holding any position, can benefit from yoga. Whether for the physical release you experience in areas of the body we tend to hold the most stress (hips, shoulders, neck, back anyone?!), or from the slowing down of the mental ping-pong game we play with our thoughts all day. Practicing yoga is not just about the physical, but also strongly influences the nervous system, brain cognition, connection with Self and others around you, and overall employee wellbeing.
